KENDALLLL!!

Surefire have just returned from Kendal Calling, probably the best festival in the known universe.

Hosted by the wonderful people at Happy Slap Boutique we provided daily workshops and nightly fire shows. This was in conjunction with highly talented lighting and sound engineers, excellent DJs, wonderful actors and variety performers, and of course the sublime make-up artists themselves. All of this made the Happy Slap tent the place to be, day or night, whether you wanted to learn some skills, be entertained, or just have an energetic rave.

As if that wasn't enough, our performers were all over the festival; performing with Slamboree and even adding some colour to Craig Charles' headlining DJ set.

I had an excellent time, taught a lot of things, and even learnt a few. Who could ask for more? Roll on Kendal 2012!

1st Weekend of July

Phew, what a scorcher!

For my part I had a great event at a party in Paddock doing some firespinning for the guests, then we educated and entertained at the Howden show on Sunday, doing family workshops all day in the glorious sunshine.

Personal sideline: I picked up a cover shift yesterday at school then had a tough training session in the evening, so today I'm having a well earned break to relax and maybe let my bright red forearms start to calm down...

Summer Plans

with a couple of festivals under our belt already we are shaping up for a great summer. The Howden Show, Kendal Calling, school summer workshops and a wedding or two are all to look forward to. As well as more days like this, 28degrees in Leeds and signs of it being better tomorrow...
